Behind the Scenes of how I made £11k in a weekend

One thing we try and steer clear of in the online space is marketing the business on the amount of money we've made. In some ways us telling you the amount of revenue the templates have made is social proof, but it really doesn't tell you all that much about what we sell and how our templates transform people's lives.

We regularly hear from people who have been stuck and desperate to move forward with their business and they hadn't realised that the "not having a contract" thing was holding them back. They were nervous to go out and get work because they were worried that someone would see them as not being legitimate and when they were asked for a contract they wouldn't know what to do. 

Well, just this week, two people got in touch to say that they had just signed their first clients off the back of our contracts. AND the clients had accepted their proposed terms without a single amendment. Now they are the wins I'm happy to share about.

All that said, in this blog, I need to tell you about how we made £11k in a weekend because it was life changing.

I started Lucy Legal off the back of collaborations and work I was doing in the outdoors and fitness space. I was what you'd call a micro-influencer and I worked with huge brands such as The North Face, Red Bull and Osprey. 

I took that knowledge as I moved into setting up my legal templates business and leveraged it. You see, just like everyone else I started my social media accounts and email marketing with 0 followers and zero subscribers. 

But unlike most people, I realised I didn't need to create a huge audience right away. 

What I needed to do was find an audience I could help.

That is the magic piece of the puzzle. 

I collaborated with someone else in such a way which that in just a few hours I had made more than my monthly salary as a senior solicitor in London, and then very quickly doubled that. 

It struck me recently that not many people do this and if they do, they don't do it well. 

So, I created a mini-course explaining how. 

 What I actually did was put together all of the legal elements you need to know about scaling your business - collaborations, affiliate partnerships, working with freelancers and employing staff - and I've put it into a mini-course.
